Triple A Tunes, Pod 13, 2012: More Sound Per Pound!

May 7, 2012 By Cavanaugh Leave a Comment

Triple A Tunes, Pod 13, 2012 by Greg Cavanaugh on Mixcloud

Seharwater new cd, "Animal Joy"We sure did “burn it down” one side, and then the other while assembling this show!

Now I can exhale…quite pleased with the results. All in keeping with the “rock n roll, blues n soul” as best as I can. John Mayall, Modest Mouse, Shearwater and M83 to mention a few artists have contributed to this eclectic mix.

Austin, Texas is a hotbed of musical activity and where one might yet emerge as the “Star Of The Age.”

This pod includes the appearance of a singer who’s real name is known as “Lizzy Grant.” But now she’s had a personality transplant and total makeover. We wish her well!

Sometimes I feel like an auditory chef, using a variety of ingredients to whip up the best ear-pleasing, blue plate special for your hungry earlobes!

If you feel so inclined, send us an email to: tripleatunes@gmail.com, and thanks.

Triple A Tunes, Pod 12, 2012: What Do You Want To Do?

May 1, 2012 By Cavanaugh Leave a Comment

Triple A Tunes, Pod 12, 2012 by Greg Cavanaugh on Mixcloud

The Rescues cd cover, "Let Loose The Horses"Rolling through the twelfth podcast of this year…squeezing in this production between my SEO clients’ needs and moving into a new living space this month…makes it all very hectic, but we’ll let loose the horses anyway!

Personal factoid: my dad liked to watch every variety and humorous tv show he could find. (Must have been a relief to laugh after a tough day at the office.) From an early age I developed an appreciation for comedy in its various forms and performance. Heck, if dad were alive today, he’d probably watch the Comedy Channel–not to be confused with the Faux News channel.

Humor adds a “spice” element to our musical recipe. Perhaps someday I’ll find some! Until then, this show will have to do…curated, sliced, diced, jellied and whipped up just for you! Send us an email: tripleatunes@gmail.com, and thank you very much. –Cavanaugh

Triple A Tunes – 2012: Pod Eleven by Greg Cavanaugh on Mixcloud

My Head Is An Animal cd coverMistakes are things a person makes that they can call their own!

We start this pod #11 with that idea and move on from there to little talks, handing down your love and knowing nothing matters but the fever. And it also includes another great track from the “New Multitudes” disc by Jay Farrar, Jim James and friends.

These are the further music adventures for your ears in our world of rock n roll, blues and soul. This is a propulsive pathway which no person has heretofore traveled! With my trusty watchdog, Zanner, at my side, it’s my pleasure to have prepared this playlist.

Enjoy the ride with the King, the Shoes, the Black Keys and more. Get it before someone else does! P.S. I’m on vacation until April 30th. –Cavanaugh

Triple A Tunes – 2012: Pod Ten by Greg Cavanaugh on Mixcloud

New Multitudes cd cover art

Welcome to our tenth and latest pod show! Lots of newer music from Gotye, Jane’s Addiction plus another couple of songs about L.A. (where I spent my deformative years).

Enjoy pointing out that Arcade Fire’s 2011 Grammy Award for Album of the Year, “The Suburbs,” took many onlookers by surprise. Heh, heh. Those who were surprised perhaps had a lot of catching up with today’s music scene! Which is quite dynamic and new groups are laying down tracks of greatness perhaps even as this is written.

Ryan Adams and Raphael Saadiq are two of the more recent artists with tunes for your earlobes. Plus, a super group with their own music for the lyrics left by Woody Guthrie. Jay Farrar, Will Johnson, Anders Parker and Jim James (or is it “Yim Yames?”) and friends have created a mighty fine disc titled “New Multitudes,” and we present a track for your auditory stimulation.

May you enjoy all the treats within and have a great moment or two, from me to you. And, yet another show is on the way soon! –Cav
